No, Shisen-sho (found the correct spelling) is not the same as gnome-mahjongg or xmahjongg. The game is not played quite the same as mahjongg, but is not-too-distantly related.
My wife just told me that Shisen-Sho is in KDE, not Gnome. Now I suspect that's the reason it hasn't been ported over, but wonder if it requires any libraries that are not already on a Fink/XDarwin installation.
