Many people have posted concerning similar versions of this problem, which
happens whenever you install any package:

I have read one suggestion to reinstall fink keeping everything in place.
How is that done?

Another suggestion is here
>All right- I got fink to work by renaming /sw/bin/gzip to gzip.old and
>symlinking /sw/bin/gzip to /usr/bin/gzip (gunzip, too). Fink seems to
work
>fine now; the only problem is that there is some problem with gzip.

A third is here
>it seems that your download was incomplete or just the
>file corrupted. I tried it and it works. Fetch the file
> again by typing "fink fetch gdk-pixbuf"

None of the latter two solve the problem, and the first I don't know how
to do, though I can be taught. Does anyone else have any suggestions?

I am running OS10.1.4 on a dual450G4, fink 0.4.0, and I was installing
r-base-atlas with six packages left to go when the problem began. Now
nothing can be installed.

Thanks!
