Hello, I tried to install KDE via apt-get. So I added the line deb http://us.dl.sourceforge.net/fink/direct_download fink-kde main crypto as it is described on the webpages to the /sw/etc/apt/sources.list.
Running apt-get update I receive an interesting failure message: Hit http://us.dl.sourceforge.net fink-kde/main Packages 20% [Connecting to us.dl.sourceforge.net (152.2.210.121)]FATAL -> Could not set non-blocking flag Operation not supported by device Ign http://us.dl.sourceforge.net fink-kde/main Release E: Method http has died unexpectedly! E: Tried to dequeue a fetching object E: Tried to dequeue a fetching object Every other deb-entry in the sources.list works fine except that for KDE. Nevertheless I installed KDE manually -- downloading the right debs from ftp. But a correct packet-management would be fine :-) Regards, Lars _______________________________________________________________ Don't miss the 2002 Sprint PCS Application Developer's Conference August 25-28 in Las Vegas -- http://devcon.sprintpcs.com/adp/index.cfm _______________________________________________ Fink-users mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/fink-users
