I have downloaded the cups-1.1.14-1 binary package. I thought to configure
it by http as I am usual to do on my linux box, but:
a) cupsd does not start automatically at the startup; so I am forced to
start it manually, and when I do this I get an error message saying that it
cannot find the cupsd.conf file:"Unable to read configuration file
'${prefix}/etc/cups/cupsd.conf' - exiting!". I solved temporarily this using
the -c flag and pointing to /sw/etc/cups/cupsd.conf

b) even if I have put the two lines
ipp 631/tcp
ipp 631/udp

I cannot reach the http configuration tool at http://localhost:631; I always
obtain:
"Not Found
The requested resource was not found on this server."

I have tried also to copy the cupsd.conf file from my linux box, where
everything works fine, and the result is only a different error message:
"Forbidden
You don't have permission to access the resource on this server."

Any suggestions to solve this two problems?
Bye,
               Riccardo Gusso
