You seem to imply my use of 3.3.1-2 against 3.3.1-3 could be a problem. Can you tell me where can i get 3.3.1-3 vai ftp/http. I have no direct access to CVS. > Hmm. Can you not specify the configure flags "--with-motif- > libraries=/sw/lib --with-motif-includes=/sw/include" at build time? Yes That's what I did second time I had to do manual make. But I hope it gets fixed as a part of default install that is downloaded by users. > > Hence I got of to ddd working but when I launch ddd it says > > that motif version is 3.0.0 and reqd version is 5.0.0 and quits. > fink installed ddd comes up fine, spewing the "X warnings" that DDD is > so famous for. > No, I do not. Hmm... I think i do not. BTW this is my first install of opensource. Do you mean libXm.2.... kind of libraries. I did a find on my /usr and /sw but could not find any. Also the moment I remove my soft link from /usr/lib/ pointing to library in /sw ddd on launch says the paticular motif library not found. So i think i can safely assume that it is using(trying to use) the new compiled/installed lesstif library only. Meanwhile I already see lesstif installation bug reported by Rich Gronostajski <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> at this mailing list.
