In regards to my last email, I'm trying to reinstall the packages with the
files that have zero length, but I'm getting an error when trying to install
them. Here's the output:

                [~] root# apt-get --reinstall install gzip

The error is correct there is no file of that name. There isn't even a
directory called tmp.ci. Is there supposed to be?
