Burning /sw should work just fine, as long as the OS versions on the two machines are compatible (don't use 10.2 packages on 10.1 and vice versa). I think other people have burned ISO images (the discussion was a while back). The only things you would miss out on would be any packages that you use a system- version for (e.g. ghostscript, tetex) as well as xfree86, because these don't live in /sw (although you would have the deb files for xfree86 installed with fink). > > Also, I have an external firewire drive which I could attach to > different machines.
