I don't have libxpg4 installed.
DYLD_FORCE_FLAT_NAMESPACE is not set.
December 2001 build tools.
Argh.
Yes, quite. Looking through the archives, I see that this looks
very much like your kdelibs3 problem from 2 months ago that was
never solved.
I, too, noticed the similarities, and didn't at all like what
those similarities might mean (i.e., another package I'd have to
go without).
You are getting multiply-defined errors where you should, at
most, get warnings. I don't even get a warning. Somehow your
linker behaves differently from other people's linker. Couldn't
you try the April2002 dev tools update and see if it helps?
AFAIR the only negative effect of the April tools was a
misunderstanding between the April ProjectBuilder and some
versions of xfree86-rootless, but this was resolved, so there
shouldn't come any harm from updating.
I'll try the April 2002 dev tools tomorrow, when the ADC web site
returns from scheduled maintenance, and let you know what happens,
one way or the other. Good thing I opted for DSL when I moved!
Thanks for your ongoing patience and assistance,
Dan
