Okay, I'm doing the rebuild now. Maybe they didn't build correctly before because of the system-xfree86 that was 'in the way'.
So, the rebuild will create new dot-deb *binaries* again, in the directory previously discussed, right? (Will the ones that were in there simply be replaced? I'll check the modification dates) Then I *install* -base and -rootless again. Also, please confirm that I do not need the system-xfree86 package when I use the -base and -rootless packages? Its an either/or deal?
