[Fink-users] X11 crashes on dual G4/500

hi,

1.

i just installed a g4/500/DP (brand new 10.2.2 after formatting) with fink (cvs).

works, but the x-server crashes very frequently (like, every 15-30min). "never" happens on the imac or my titanium. oroborusx or standard xdarwin. local and remote processes.

2.

before that, the same machine was running linux (suse 7). it was used as relay to log into a server cluster (with access only from defined MAC addresses). with this setup, we were able to export the display from applications running on the cluster to our home imac (cluster => g4/linux => imac).

now, it does not work. problem of setting some permissions etc. on the g4? does x11 has to run on the g4, while using it as relay (we tried that)?
