Hi,
I finally managed to compile and install the mplayer package and its
dependencies on fink 0.4.1/OS 10.1.5 (see previous messages
concerning libdv and arts-dev). The gui starts up fine, but doesn't
find a video output driver: no matter what option from "mplayer -vo
help" I specify (x11, sdl, xv, ...), there is a dialog window in the main
window saying:
"Sorry, I don't find gui compatible video output driver"
I didn't find many messages concerning mplayer on this list, but some
seem to have got it working using e.g. the sdl output. It would be nice
if you could just tell me what output driver you are using and if there
is any particular trick. I did install all SDL libraries (from 0.4.1
stable),
X is running windowmaker, but that does not seem to be enough...
