Greetings: I would also like to express my thanks to Mr. Ben Reed for his hard work on getting QT3 and KDE working. QT3 has compiled without any problems on my system; I am still chugging away on my KDE3 install.
QT, however, appears to have placed some unusual folders at the root of my hard drive. There are 3 folders named 'lib', 'share', and 'include'. Here are their contents: include/: total 0 drwxr-xr-x 3 root admin 102 Jan 3 12:40 ./ drwxrwxr-t 57 root admin 1938 Jan 6 10:01 ../ drwxr-xr-x 338 root admin 11492 Jan 3 12:40 qt/ lib/: total 6092 drwxr-xr-x 7 root admin 238 Jan 3 12:40 ./ drwxrwxr-t 57 root admin 1938 Jan 6 10:01 ../ -rwxr-xr-x 1 root admin 6231276 Jan 3 12:40 libqt-mt.3.1.1.dylib* lrwxr-xr-x 1 root admin 20 Jan 3 12:40 libqt-mt.3.1.dylib -> libqt-mt.3.1.1.dylib* lrwxr-xr-x 1 root admin 20 Jan 3 12:40 libqt-mt.3.dylib -> libqt-mt.3.1.1.dylib* lrwxr-xr-x 1 root admin 20 Jan 3 12:40 libqt-mt.dylib -> libqt-mt.3.1.1.dylib* -rw-r--r-- 1 root admin 661 Jan 3 12:40 libqt-mt.prl share/: total 0 drwxr-xr-x 3 root admin 102 Jan 3 12:40 ./ drwxrwxr-t 57 root admin 1938 Jan 6 10:01 ../ drwxr-xr-x 3 root admin 102 Jan 3 12:40 doc/ I was under the impression that fink never installed anything outside of /sw. Should I just move these folders into /sw and go about my business? Or is this evidence of some larger issue? Thank you for any advice.
