Dear David,

The version of system-ghostscript in Fink's unstable tree is the one you
need for ghostscript 7. If you use this successfully, please let me
know so that I can move the package to "stable."
Your advice worked fine for me. After intalling the unstable version,
 I installed `texmacs' for test  (from source package).
It was installed successfully, and seems to work well also.

I also had a problem with installing system-tetex, because I use a
Japanized version of teTeX package. It places its stuff to
different places with that of  the original package.
But this was easy to fix because error messages of fink properly
shows what are missing and where they should be.
(I made some directries and symlinks, )
