You seem confused. wget does not come with OS X, you must install it with fink, or no wget. only curl comes with OS X.Yeah, I know now, but being new at this I was surprised that a package (wget) I installed through Fink would then work fine in the regular MacOSX Terminal.app. I knew that my fink install added /sw to my PATH, but I was in the process of trying to understand that some fink packages depend on graphical aspects of X (and therefore need XDarwin, for example) but many others that are just command line tools will obviously run in an xterm or a Terminal.app window equally well.
