Yes, it is. I also am running the OSX software firewall under the
'Sharing' tab. However, I tried turning the latter off, and that
didn't help (although, oddly enough, it did help me when using
/usr/bin/ftp to poke around ftp.sunet.se from the command line).

I'm truly mystified.

Anyone else have any tips or suggestions?
