I run fink selfupdate-cvs && fink update-all almost every day, to update all my packages. Whenever the last major release of Fink was, something wacky happened. It used to take only about 8-10 seconds on my iMac (233, Bondi Blue) to list the packages, but after that update, it takes about 60-70 seconds. I looked in the archive about it, and someone else had mentioned it, but the response he got was "well you must be smoking pot, because nothing changed". Something has changed, and how would I got about fixing this? It's rather annoying to spend 3 minutes doing selfupdate && update-all, when it used to take only about 30 seconds.
