Considering how thoroughly Fink covers the field of open-source utilities, I'm surprised no one has ported GNU acct (http://www.gnu.org/directory/acct.html). It includes sa, dump-acct, and dump-utmp, as well as replacements for ac, last, and lastcomm. It doesn't build completely from the supplied configure script, but I was able to build part of it manually and have found sa, in particular, to be useful for showing how much CPU time various processes are using. sa really should be in Darwin, since it's conditionally invoked by the script /etc/periodic/daily/100.clean-logs. See my post to the Ars Technica Mac forum (http://arstechnica.infopop.net/OpenTopic/ page?a=tpc&s=50009562&f=8300945231&m=4130942455).

I can't commit this package myself, because I'm not a programmer and I have only a general idea of how Fink works, but I hope the Fink gods will take at look at it.
