I know no-one is replying here -- that's OK -- but given the level of hassle I'm having with xfig I thought I should report it and at least warn other xfig users they might be in for a rough ride.
I lost my entire xfig creation when it corrupted the fig file it was saving (did I mention I had a deadline?). The problems are definitely triggered by xfig interacting with ghostscript, and more often than corrupting the saved file, it crashes with similar errors to those I already reported. I have had one other person report similar levels of problems on a linux platform, so it seems likely there are bugs that need to be fixed upstream rather than in the fink distributions. But do save your fig file under another name frequently if you are going to use the current version! -- Viv On Mon, 10 Mar 2003, Viv Kendon wrote: > I've been struggling some more with this (I have a deadline [snip] ------------------------------------------------ Dr Viv Kendon [EMAIL PROTECTED] QOLS tel: 020 7594 7746 Blackett Laboratory Imperial College London ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by:Crypto Challenge is now open!
