as I got no reply on my problem from the fink-beginners-list I thought that my assume was wrong and I should better ask the fink-users for help (apologies if again this assume is wrong).
If you could be so kind to please have a look at the following
Yesterday I've downloaded from the fink-site the "Fink-0.5.1-Installer.dmg".
By doubleclicking it unpacks with five files, one of it is "Fink 0.5.1 Installer.pkg".
By doubleclicking on this package Apple's installer opens with a window titled like "Install "Fink"" (originally in german).
The left column (like always: Introduction, Read me, Licence, Volume etc.) is not yet active. In the right white space, usually showing the actual dialogs, is only one big centered "19". Above this white space there's the title "Identification".
That's all what happens. I'm just allowed to "Close" the window. And that's it.
Anybody else knows this problem while installing Fink 0.5.1??
I'm working on a MacOSX (10.2.4), OS fresh installed, additionally Apple's Securitiy Update (March 2003), Apple's X11 (February, vers.2), and Apple's X11SDK.
