If it's relevant, I had no problems updating to kdebase3-ssl-3.1.1-2, with
the following setup (excerpted from "fink list freetype"):


i   freetype         1.3.1-6
i   freetype-bin     1.3.1-6
    freetype-hintin  1.3.1-6
    freetype-hintin  1.3.1-6
    freetype-hintin  1.3.1-6
i   freetype-shlibs  1.3.1-6
i   freetype2        2.1.3-1
    freetype2-hinti  2.1.3-1
    freetype2-hinti  2.1.3-1
i   freetype2-shlib  2.1.3-1

and using xfree86-4.3.0-1.
