This is only the third time I've installed Amaya - the first two occasions prior to the infamy of Virex developers using /sw - and only on one of those occasions did the 'amaya' command work properly.
There must be some isolated system configuration problem lurking in the bowels of my computer. The question is whether I hunt it down, or just alias the command. I'm still holding out hope for another fink user who has encountered the same problem, but I probably won't hold my breath.
