Yes I did search the mentioning of emacs in the output, and the only other 2 places that it's mentioned are:
checking for emacs... no checking for xemacs... no ... and if test no != no; then \ EMACS=no /bin/sh ./elisp-comp po-mode.el; \ fi ... (several same entries like this one showed up in the output) As mentioned in my previous message I don't have Fink emacs/xemacs installed, and my assumption is if gettext requires emacs to build it should tell me so - but it didn't. Could you suggest what I should do next?
