I'm a fink user since years and my distribution is getting more and more obsolete but lately I've benn unable to update my pkgs anymore, not even fink itself.
If I want to update a pkg, say man for instance, I shortly get to a point where fink is unable to mkdir the src directory:
fink update man
sudo /sw/bin/fink update man
Reading package info...
Information about 1410 packages read in 18 seconds.
The following additional package will be installed:
gawk
Do you want to continue? [Y/n]
rm -rf gawk-3.1.0-3
mkdir -p /sw/src/gawk-3.1.0-3
tar -xzf /sw/src/gawk-3.1.0.tar.gz
Failed: directory /sw/src/gawk-3.1.0-3/gawk-3.1.0 doesn't exist, check the package description
it goes the same way with fink selfupdate-cvs. I've checked permissions and it seems ok. Do you think there is a way to get out of this mess?
Thank you in advance for your help.
fink -V Package manager version: 0.9.11 Distribution version: 0.4.1a.cvs
