I changed my default shell to bash with NetInfo Manager, added
.bash_profile and .bashrc (both posted below) to my home directory. I
can use 'startx' at a bash prompt and everything works fine, but if I
click on the Xdarwin icon in the Applications menu, X doesn't get past
the black and gray screen that loads initially. My guess is that there
is something I didn't set up correctly in my environment, however, I'm
at a loss as to what it is. Any help would be appreciated.

bash-2.05b$ cat .bashrc
PATH=$PATH:$HOME/bin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/X11R6/bin:/usr/X11R6/man
SHELL=/sw/bin/bash
source /sw/bin/init.sh

bash-2.05b$ cat .bash_profile
. ~/.bashrc
ENV=$HOME/.bashrc
export ENV

It's nothing catastrophic, as I can launch X from a terminal, but I did
say 'uh-oh' when I initially tried the X icon :)
