the special 10.3 upgrade instructions "http://fink.sourceforge.net/download/10.3-upgrade.php"
only covers the cases that you want to do a source upgrade or you want to do a fresh install. Am i correct in thinking this?
I have a binary install, and wish to update to the latest binaries.
Following the instructions in the upgrade matrix "http://fink.sourceforge.net/download/10.3-upgrade.php"
i did "in FinkCommander, run "Update" followed by "Dist-Upgrade" (both in the Binary menu)."
update discriptions output was: Hit http://us.dl.sourceforge.net 10.2/release/main Packages Hit http://us.dl.sourceforge.net 10.2/release/main Release Hit http://us.dl.sourceforge.net 10.2/release/crypto Packages Hit http://us.dl.sourceforge.net 10.2/release/crypto Release Hit http://us.dl.sourceforge.net 10.2/current/main Packages Hit http://us.dl.sourceforge.net 10.2/current/main Release Hit http://us.dl.sourceforge.net 10.2/current/crypto Packages Hit http://us.dl.sourceforge.net 10.2/current/crypto Release Reading Package Lists... Building Dependency Tree...
Dist-upgrade packages output was:
Reading Package Lists... Building Dependency Tree... 0 packages upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 0 not upgraded.
And nothing seems to have happened. Shouldn't update descriptions be referencing 10.3 rather than 10.2?
Is there a method to upgrade my fink installation, or do i need to delete the whole of /sw and start from scratch with the 0.6.1 .dmg binary installer?
TIA, dan.
