Did you follow this sequence:

1) remove all freetype packages--including -shlibs and -dev
2) install gtk+2
3) reinstall the freetype* packages

?

I have the same problem too, and have, after searching the archives, tried this approach. Removed, rebuilt, reinstalled. Still get the same error.


Can anyone else offer insight into what might be causing the problem?
