The current version of sed (4.0.5-1) is installed, although I never
installed it. Maybe it was required by another package I installed.

As for what executables are in my $PATH, I wasn't sure how to
do this (I'm still learning), so I just typed those commands in the
Terminal:

user% where sed
/sw/bin/sed
/usr/bin/sed

user% which sed
/sw/bin/sed

In fink.conf, my Basepath is "/sw". The actual /sw directory is on
an external firewire hard drive. The fink installer package put a
symbolic link to /sw on my boot partition.
Should I change my Basepath to "/Volumes/Firewire/sw"?
