Actually what you need to do is force-remove db42-ssl-shlibs, and then try to install lilypond _without_ having first reinstalled db42-ssl-shlibs.
Thanks. That worked. but too bad lilypond still has problems... i get an infinite regress of `too many errors!'. i wish i knew where that was caused, but the messages, one per line, comes so fast that it overwrites the scroll back in fink commander. i've contacted the maintainer.
