I have set all the necessary options so that a: fink install kinput 2 gets all the necessary dependent packages
_but_ fink at some point does not recognize that I already have system-xfree86 install and still downloads the whole xfree86 package. It builds it, debs it and when it comes to installing it, fink tells me that I need to install system-xfree86 to save my keep my already existing install...
From here it becomes a catch 22 situation, I try to "re-"install system-xfree86 but since it is already here fink does not reinstall it then i can't install canna, not kinput2 etc. because I need to have xfree86 etc...
How is it possible to solve this dependancy problem ? Or is it that canna and kinput2 have to be built _within_ xfree86 ? (which would render my mac X11 install useless ?)
