I tried another command, seems to be the right one, and seems like I have advanced one step further, to get the following error instead:
$ sudo dpkg -r --force-remove-reinstreq postgresql-python-py23 dpkg - warning, overriding problem because --force enabled: Package is in a very bad inconsistent state - you should reinstall it before attempting a removal. (Reading database ... 106195 files and directories currently installed.) Removing postgresql-python-py23 ... droplang: language "plpython" is not installed in database template1 dpkg: error processing postgresql-python-py23 (--remove): subprocess post-removal script returned error exit status 1 Errors were encountered while processing: postgresql-python-py23
