Hi..
I just tried installing the package mentioned in subj. It failed with a gcc3 command not found.
gcc3 is the name of the gcc-3.1 executable. Some programs cannot be compiled with gcc-3.3, they need gcc-3.1.
I manually edited the .info file and changed the references from gcc3 to gcc.
So now it compiles...
Without error? Did it compile and install the fig2dev, fig2ps2tex etc executables? Look at "dpkg -L transfig | grep bin". It should show 5 executables in /sw/bin.
Just thought I'd let everyone know...
The maintainer should be the first to be told about this. I am CCing him.
FYI: I'm running 10.3.3 with XTools 1.2
In the first dev tools for Panther, gcc-3.1 was always automatically included. This seems not to be the case now. The transfig package should probably have a dependency on the virtual package gcc3.1, or use the clumsy "GCC: 3.1" field.
