Without error? Did it compile and install the fig2dev, fig2ps2tex etc executables? Look at "dpkg -L transfig | grep bin". It should show 5 executables in /sw/bin.
I left it unattendended with at 'fink install xfig' , and that did not fail.
the dpkg -L only showed the transfig executable, so I guess there is a problem with that. I'm currently installing gcc-3.1 from the Xtool 1.2 dmg, and then I will try with that.

In the first dev tools for Panther, gcc-3.1 was always automatically included. This seems not to be the case now. The transfig package should probably have a dependency on the virtual package gcc3.1, or use the clumsy "GCC: 3.1" field.
Perhaps a dependency on gcc3.1 would be nice... the gcc3: command not found is not very helpful.
