Getting a bus error there is weird. This is a perl script, so maybe something is wrong with your /usr/bin/perl. Or your disk is full or something similar.

You could also look for a newly created crash log in ~/Library/Logs/CrashReporter. Maybe a file named "perl.crash.log". It could contain additional hints.
