Thanks. Fink-0.22.2 got the job done. Or almost.
inject.pl worked as advertised, but the subsequent 'fink selfupdate' fails because it cannot find a gnu mirror:

Failed: No mirror site list file found for mirror 'gnu'.

This happened when fink was trying to download the package gettext, I believe.

Down anyone know if this is a problem related to the actual mirror or a fink-related problem?

Thanks,

Stefano

Well, I seem to have the same problem (or rather, a bigger problem with the same cause, the broken package manager). However, the command suggested in the website, i.e.

fink install fink-0.21.2-1

does not work. What I get is: "Failed. No matching version found for fink."

I tried, as suggested, to go to sourceforge and download

fink-0.22.1.tar.gz

but there is no such package there. I can see (in decreasing order) fink-0.22.2, fink-0.21.3, and fink-0.21.2,

Which one will get the job done?

Any of them will work. The version currently in "stable" is fink-0.21.2.

I'm revising the note on the webpage to indicate this.
