Not sure if they're related or not. I'd love to be able to install Fink software again, so any help would be greatly appreciated.
Could be, sound like at one point you used a different X11 than apple's to compile stuff... Going forward (from apple's x11 to xfree86 or x.org) is OK, but going back is bad...
