Yes, X11 started. Note, I have the apple X11 for panther installed, but not Xfree86 as it wasn't noted as a dependency.

Hold on....starting from the quartz terminal, not x11. It works fine if I start from x11 and use my brain. Apologies.

I do see that it is version 1.1 and has shortfalls in full screen mode and key mapping. A saw some directions in the FAQ for compiling new versions using the current patch. Any ideas if a unix newbie like me be able to stumble through that to build rdesktop 1.3?

Hello

Have been trying to get rdesktop working for a while. Saw on the FAQ that the command "setenv DISPLAY :0" should help, but alas to no avail. I continue to get the following message:

[sn27-dhcp-91:/Users/nickdabner] nickdabn# rdesktop tlkensington2k.toll.com.au
rdesktop: A Remote Desktop Protocol client.

I am using 10.3.7 to connect to an NT2000 server. The performance of rdesktop on our old pentium 100 machines running a linux kernel is great, whereas the Microsoft client can take a few seconds to draw an access table on my g3 ibook. Very keen to get this working.

TIA

Nick

Did you also start X11?
