Hold on....starting from the quartz terminal, not x11. It works fine if I start from x11 and use my brain. Apologies.
I do see that it is version 1.1 and has shortfalls in full screen mode and key mapping. A saw some directions in the FAQ for compiling new versions using the current patch. Any ideas if a unix newbie like me be able to stumble through that to build rdesktop 1.3?

You may be able to do it--sometimes the machinations that Fink uses to do its work are don't change between versions.
Have you tried contacting the maintainer first?
