Hi, I use the imapd that comes with pine(-ssl). Pine works perfectly on it and it still does, because I tunnel through ssh. However, in all cases when I have to login manually (e.g. using Apple's Mail application), the login fails.
I have Mac OS 10.3. It used to work until I have changed from basic password to shadow password. <http://www.oreillynet.com/cs/user/view/cs_msg/26273> says that for 10.3 with shadow passwords the imapd needs to be compiled differently. BTW, I am wondering why Pine and IMAP are not two separate packages, independent from each other.
