Hi,
I've been making my first attempts at packaging a shared library. I think I've got most of the basics but I don't know where to get the compatibility-version number for the Shlibs directive. I don't think this is in the FAQ, but maybe my ignorance is more fundamental than that!
Also, could some kind soul please cast an eye over this and tell me if there is anything obviously wrong with it?
Package: libsamplerate0 Version: 0.1.2 Revision: 1 Maintainer: Hamish Allan <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> HomePage: http://www.mega-nerd.com/SRC/ License: GPL Description: Sample rate converter for audio Depends: %N-shlibs (= %v-%r) Source: http://www.mega-nerd.com/SRC/libsamplerate-%v.tar.gz Source-MD5: 06861c2c6b8e5273c9b80cf736b9fd0e DocFiles: AUTHORS COPYING INSTALL NEWS README SplitOff: << Package: %N-shlibs Files: lib/*.*.dylib Shlibs: %p/lib/libsamplerate.0.dylib 0.0.0 %n (>= 0.1.2-1) DocFiles: AUTHORS COPYING INSTALL NEWS README <<
Am I right in calling it libsamplerate0 rather than libsamplerate when no other version exists?
Many thanks, Hamish
