No, I'm not dependent on GIMP, as I have have access to 
nasty and evil closed source tools like Photoshop. I just 
wanted to have a little more external process clarity when 
packages get pulled or rolled back for security or other 
reasons. Don't just take it away, put a note in the database 
somewhere letting the less knowledgable know WHY you took it 
away and when you think it might come back. It's OK to be 
conservative and say "The GIMP will be back in 3 months," 
just as long as you note these changes explicitly. I'm a 
stickler for transparency that extends beyond the techie and 
hacker community. Sure, I know how to find out what's going 
on, but that newbie I just talked to about the wonders of 
open source doesn't.
