Hi,
I installed Tiger on my PB G4. I used archiving and preserving my
user settings during instalation. I also installed Xcode and X11 from
the disk provided by Tiger. The instalation was flawless.
Since my user account was I tried to run KDE installed on my previous
version at once out of curiosity. I was sure it will not work. To my surprise
the KDE logo appeared on the screen and it satrted loading. Howevere reaching
half way it crashed. So I knew I am in trouble and had to install it anew.
I updated my Fink with some minor difficulties and run "fink install bundle-kde-ssl"
The compilation was very long and never reached end. I had to install and reinstall several packages manually, bud it did not help. I switched to non-"ssl"
instalation and again after long, long compilation, I finally was able to reach
the succseful end.
However as I run X11, the same thing happened: KDE logo appeared, the small logos
at the bottom start blinking one after another, but somwhere at the middle it dies.
I edit .xinitrc file, but curiously after running X11 it changes to the same:
source /sw/bin/init.sh
/sw/bin/startkde >/tmp/kde.log 2>&1

I suspect the problem us simple with .xinitrc however I dont know how to fix it.
Can someone help me? Are there anyone who already has KDE+Tiger?

Check whether /tmp/kde.log has any information about what happened.

Also, which version of KDE is this?
