the install of liboup-ssl went like a charm, but now the install
evolution fails with the following error:

the pkg-config search path.
For a quick solution (not sure if it works, but it cannot harm),
install (or reinstall) the dev splitoff of the above package: i.e.
gthread, etc....
Next, the package should probably be augmented with missing
dependencies.
