I am running Panther, 10.3.5. I recently successfully (after a little work) ran the self-update on Fink, and updated everything else, prior to trying to install kxmleditor. I used fink commander to install kxmleditor (and I've used this to install everything I've installed with fink). I usually choose to install from binary (as I haven't installed anything from source, ever).
