This did not do the trick. The process that seems to get stuck is
guile-1.6. At least, that's what I can gather from ps -ax. Also,
activity monitor shows guile throttling the CPU at 100% for many
minutes without anything happening. So, could it be that I made a
mistake by compiling bluefish and gnucash before compiling all of
the gnome components (libgnome, gtk+2, etc.)?
No, I don't think so, since compiling bluefish-gnome2 compiles most
of gnome components.
Be aware that the launching process takes a very, very long time
(may be several minutes).
Do you launch gnome-session?
If so, you should launch it with in your .xinitrc:
DYLD_FALLBACK_LIBRARY_PATH=: exec /sw/bin/gnome-session
I am updating all gnome components now, just to be on the safe
side. Should I then recompile bluefish and gnucash?
Yes, that would not hurt. But before try above first.
Cheers,
Michèle
