Greetings, all.

I've been running fink on OS X 10.3.9 for a while now, and I'm about to
upgrade to 10.4 (as soon as my copy arrives in the mail). For reasons
unrelated to Fink, I'm going to do this with an "erase and install"
installation, so I'll need to reinstall fink once I've finished.

Before I do this, I want to make sure I understand the process. I've
been following this list for a while, but things have been changing so
fast it's hard to keep up. So, I thought I'd ask for clarification
before I do anything.

I intend to start by tracking stable/source, although that may change
over time.

1) Does one still have to bootstrap fink, or is the new 0.8.0 installer
   sufficient?

2) Further, are there still difficulties with XCode 2.1, or have those
   been worked out?

3) Are the *-ssl packages still iffy?

4) Any other gotchas I need to watch out for?

Thanks very much,

Richard
