Hi,
Does anyone know whether it is possible to start X
from console in Tiger? It was possible in Jaguar, but
broken in Panther ---something about missing keymap---

Tiger... Anyone know a way around this?
Thanks,

Supposedly it wourld work with "startx --IOKit", but I neer got that to
do anything but lock my computer. X.org seems to autmatically go to
--IOKit, but when I tried it just now it locked my (other) computer up.
There's probably not a compelling reason to run it in >console mode
anyway: you lose Quartz acceleration, and hardware acceleration is
still not functional, I believe.
