Sounds like something's hosed in the profile.d script from the xdg-base package. Maybe different "sed" versions? Anyway, I just committed xdg-base-0.6-2; try updating that, then seeing if the reported problem goes away. Brute-force solution if you get stuck in shell-startup hell is to sudo rm /sw/etc/profile.d/xdg-base.sh Not having that file will break some gnome stuff (including possibly installation of shared-mime-info) but if the presence of that file is causing more basic problem gotta get that resolved first. If you still have problems with xdg-base-0.6-2, please let me know the contents of xdg-base.sh and what (if any) fink "sed" package you have installed. dan -- Daniel Macks [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.netspace.org/~dmacks ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by: Power Architecture Resource Center: Free content, downloads, discussions, and more. http://solutions.newsforge.com/ibmarch.tmpl _______________________________________________ Fink-users mailing list Fink-users@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/fink-users
