I'm new to OS X (but not to Xemacs).  After installing the Apple X11 system on a new Tiger machine, I installed xemacs from fink.  In testing it with my printer, I get the error "Symbol's function definition is void: lpr-buffer".  Under Options|Printer, there is a single option available "Set Printer Name for Generic Printer Support", which defaults to lpr.  The printing simply doesn't work.  Printing works fine with all other X11 applications.  It also works fine with gnu Emacs under both terminal and X11.  Since I prefer Xemacs to gnu emacs, I'd like to get to the bottom of this problem.  I've also downloaded the DarwinPorts version 21.4.17, with the same results.

I've posted this question over on Apple's Unix area and several other posters confirm the problem on their machines.

Is this a bug, a configuration issue, or is printing deliberately disabled in the Tiger port?

Thank you.
