I've managed to get some things installed but my problem remains. I
tried to install xxdiff which installs qt (and other stuff), but it
ends on the same error (while installing qt3-3.3.5-26):

Can't exec "/var/tmp/tmp.4.PP7f7A": Text file busy at
/sw/lib/perl5/Fink/Services.pm line 503.
### execution of /var/tmp/tmp.4.PP7f7A failed, exit code -1

Here is a listing of the file:
ls -lF /var/tmp/tmp.4.PP7f7A
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root wheel 5900 Feb 22 18:29 /var/tmp/tmp.4.PP7f7A*

so the file in /var/tmp is executable. Does anyone know what exit code
-1 is? The error seems pretty random, sometimes occurring and
sometimes not. If I re-boot and redo the install it will usually work
(that is how I've got to where I am, getting past two similar errors).
Just logging out and back in again without the re-boot does not seem to
work. I guess I will continue like this until I get all the stuff I
need installed, but it is unfortunate it is so flaky.

Am I the only one who sees this?

Bob
