No idea about this one. I have built this on 4 different machines, ppc
and intel, fink HEAD and fink-0.24.15-31. Never saw anything like this.

That's the only thing I haven't tested. But I don't see anything in your
output where case sensitivity could come in. I don't see any error
message at all, for that matter. Weird.

I think I've got a case-insensitive drive at home, so if that's the
case I'll try that one out and see what happens.
